About Trucking The Seven Seas
While coming up in the trucking industry I discovered finding honest, accurate and transparent information on truckers pay is nearly impossibly to find. Pay can vary from position to position, company to company and platform to platform. Further complicating the matter are deceitful practices that plague the industry. Companies advertising gross revenue as the "pay" for owner operators when in reality the take home will be a fraction of what is advertised.
This website and Youtube channel are dedicated to bringing transparency to truck driver pay. We started as a company driver working for Knight Transportation, then a lease operator working for Knight Transportation, then an Owner Operator leased onto Landstar before finally getting our own authority and working the spot market.
In each position, every mile driven, revenue earned and expenses spent is compiled into a google spreadsheet. These spreadsheets are posted publicly in order to show exactly what truck drivers really make. While none of the numbers you will encounter are a guarantee, it should, at minimum, give better insight into the industry where previously no such information existed... At least not publicly.
